IceBreaker: Anti-Bullying Workshop

Bullying and discrimination is not OK, and can lead to feelings of being scared, anxious and isolated.

Do you, or someone you know, need support, tools and resources to learn how to change this?

IceBreaker is a youth-led initiative from Yes Disability Resource Centre that delivers a message of resilience and strength to young people facing bullying or discrimination.

Co-developed and co-delivered by youth leaders from the disability sector, who have been there, this workshop has a powerfully simple message:

“You are not alone. You can get through this. We did. Here’s some tools”.

With personal stories, practical activities and take-home resources, IceBreaker aims to help with that ‘cold feeling’ young people describe when they are in the midst of being bullied or excluded and isolated.

Our workshop is:

  • Targeted at young people aged 12-24;
  • A safe and trusted environment;
  • Takes a whole new approach to supporting young people;
  • Seeks to drive change in our community to stop the harmful effects of bullying and discrimination.

Cost: IceBreaker was created for young people and to make sure we reach and make a difference for as many individuals as we can, these workshops are offered free of charge.

If you are a young person, or know of a young person, who would benefit from our IceBreaker workshop, please email: info@yesdisability.org.nz
